Who writes here

Jonas Vandenberghe has written about Belgian gambling sites since 2019 and puts every operator to the test with a preference for payouts and KYC. Active from Gent.

How we test. we register like any other player, stake money with Bancontact, file a withdrawal request and measure it through to the account. White or black: we look the operator up at the Gaming Commission and compare the promise with the conditions. What we have not seen ourselves, we do not write.

This site earns from affiliate links; the assessment is not altered by it. If the licence is missing, it says so, fee or no fee.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

The rules on player protection here run more tightly than the Netherlands or France and it is built that way on purpose. By default €200 per week per site may go in. Lowering it is immediate, going beyond that takes a review and time.

Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: whoever registers is barred everywhere immediately, online as well as offline. The register is not public. Casino, gaming hall and sports betting are 21-and-over since 1 September 2024; the National Lottery is the exception at 18. The check is automatic.
